Discovering Anime: A Journey of Unexpected Transformation

Back in my tenth grade in junior high school, whenever I stumbled upon anime videos on the internet, I'd often say that watching anime was boring. It was during the COVID-19 era, and I found myself without friends to talk to. That's when I pondered, "Should I give anime a try?" The first anime I ever watched was a recommendation from a friend: Attack on Titan. It's a Japanese manga series created by Hajime Isayama, set in a world where humanity is forced to live in cities surrounded by three enormous walls to protect them from gigantic, man-eating humanoids known as Titans. Initially, I found it a bit odd, but gradually, I started to like it.

After I finished the seasons of Attack on Titan, I began searching for another anime to watch. I searched and searched until I found an anime that caught my interest. I love exploring the diverse facets of life, even if they don't exist in the real world. Watching anime became my way to relieve stress, and it made me feel various emotions – sadness, laughter, tears, happiness, and even moments of reflection. I've learned so much while watching anime, gaining valuable insights that helped me understand both myself and other people better.

Every anime I watched, whether it was a series, movie, or episodes, I thoroughly enjoyed. For me, watching anime has genuinely transformed my life.

My journey into the world of anime during my tenth-grade years was an unexpected experience. Anime for me became more than a pastime. It became my stress reliever, and my companion everyday. Every stories of every anime I watched, help me to understand myself better and I learned many things by watching anime. It help me to understand other people, and It help me find other people who enjoys watching anime too. The world of anime became a means of self-expression, personal growth, and a path to discovery.

I wholeheartedly encourage others to try and explore this captivating universe. Whether you seek a source of joy, a way to navigate the complexities of life, or a medium to understand the world better, anime may hold the transformative power you've been looking for.
